Shekou Port Machinery Manufacture Co., Ltd (SPMCO) was founded in 1984 and has paid in capital of more than rmb 100 million. It is a large-scaled enterprise that is professionally producing semi-trailers, primarily for container hauling. SPMCO owns more than 150 pieces of advanced specialized manufacturing equipment and produces twenty thousand semi-trailers per year. There are three subsidiary specialized manufacturing bases: Shekou manufacturing base, which is located in Shenzhen Shekou industrial area and near Shenzhen western port group; Zhangzhou manufacturing base which is situated in China Merchants Zhangzhou Development Zone of Fujian province and close to Xiamen port with an annual manufacture capacity of 20,000 sets of semi-trailers and another one is in Huai'an, Jiangsu province which doubles the one in Fujian. SPMCO has newly-styled, modernized manufacturing bases.

SPMCO has a long history of sound technological achievement. The company has more than 30 professional technicians who have engineer certificates or above. It cooperates with the national institutes and colleges importing internationally advanced specialized auto manufacturing techniques and equipment to exploit and produce semi-trailer products with advanced technical standards. SPMCO has passed ISO 9001 quality management system approval and CCC national enforcement product approval. It is one of the most competitive specialized manufacturing factories in China.

Most of SPMCO's products are aimed at export. Currently the company has distribution in South-Eastern Asia, Russia, Middle East and Africa.
